Portfolio Management Analyst

The duties entail review of incoming requests for processing limits, DDA, TIN validation and name changes.  The requests are submitted by merchants, agent offices and various internal departments.  These duties ensure current and accurate merchant information is updated and on file.  The department is fast paced and the position requires great customer service, organization and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of new and existing merchant applications for approval and denial.
  • Merchant interviews to determine type of business.
  • Run processing statistics to monitor processing limits.
  • Review legal documents for verification of business names and director information.
  • Underwrite accounts for approval/denial to increase processing limits and other monetary change requests.
  • Flag and notify Risk Department of high risk accounts.
  • Review accounts for approval/denial of business name and DDA changes.
  • Review of bank statements and company financials to determine the financial condition of merchant businesses.
  • Review of previous processing statements to evaluation prior processing history.
  • Generate and review credit reports for credit worthiness and limitations.
  • Assist various departments with research.
  • Produce and mail approval, denial, withdrawal and change in terms & conditions letters.
  • Conduct 6-12 month evaluation of accounts processing over $100k.
  • Evaluation of credit disputes
  • Evaluation of 1099k correction
  • Monitor and prioritize workflow
  • Administrative functions (copying, faxing, filing, mail preparation, printing, reading, scanning, typing and writing)
  • Inbound/Outbound calls (95%)
  • Lifting (weight < 20 lbs.)

Experience and Education:

  • 1-2 year experience in banking/bankcard
  • 35+wpm and 10-key by touch
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite products
