iPayment, Inc., a trusted provider of payment and processing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), is looking to hire a reliable and proactive Paralegal to work with the Company’s Legal and Compliance Department.

Job Description

The Paralegal will work directly with iPayment’s in-house and law firm attorneys, as well as its in-house compliance personnel, in connection with corporate governance, business transaction, contract, compliance, and litigation related matters. The responsibilities of the Paralegal will include:

  • Maintaining cloud-based contract database
  • Maintaining complaint, subpoena and other Department logs
  • Preparing and filing litigation documents
  • Sorting and distributing incoming communications to the Department
  • Gathering documents responsive to subpoenas
  • Assisting with various compliance and quality assurance related functions
  • Organizing and indexing Department document library
  • Creating reports for Department personnel
  • Monitoring changes to government guidelines or regulations related to payment processing industry
  • Assisting with sales agent compliance program
  • Coordinating company-wide communications related to iPayment policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong research and report-generating skills
  • Experience in using legal database software
  • Not less than 3 years paralegal experience
